Martine is a senior presenter with BBC News, having worked for over 30 years as a reporter and anchor. Alongside her work in the studio, she is an experienced presentation skills trainer – both internally, at the BBC Academy, and for corporate clients.
Martine joined the BBC in 1991, working on Radio Leicester and East Midlands Today before moving to the national TV newsroom in 2001. She has anchored many major news events – from the death of Prince Philip to the 2015 Paris terror attacks – and reported on many more. She was a regular presenter of The Papers.
At the BBC Academy, Martine trains new presenters using the skills and techniques developed from her distinguished career on-screen. Her training clients outside the BBC have included charities, local authorities and consultancies, and she is an experienced live event host and panel moderator.
